Pseudobulbar affect is a condition of emotional disturbance that occurs when individuals experience uncontrollable and sudden bouts of crying or laughing at inappropriate times. Pseudobulbar affect patients experience normal emotions, but will randomly express them in an inappropriate or exaggerated way.
