Remove Splinters With Baking Soda

Baking soda is full of uses beyond the kitchen, including helping to get splinters out. Make a paste out of baking soda and water by mixing together. Alternatively, mix flour, water and a pinch of salt if out of baking soda. Once the mixture is ready, apply the paste to the splinter. Wait until the splinter emerges, or cover it with a band-aid and let the splinter come off with the paste after several hours. Baking soda is also a natural antibacterial and antiseptic which will help deter skin from getting infected.
